80 DAYS, 80 NIGHTS
by Soeren Voima
Teddy was sewn together in Kraftfigien by wage workers from Brennbuntland and thinks he is a high-quality brand-name bear. When he tries to get to Volksleutland, he is rejected at the border as a cheap imitation and ends up in the garbage, where he is saved from the shredder by a good fairy. The fairy sends Teddy and his new friend, the tiger Leo, who has also been saved, to Kleinsteigien with an ultimate task: if they find someone in 80 days and 80 nights who loves them and wants to keep them, then they can stay alive. An odyssey begins for Teddy and Leo, from bazaars in Kleinsteigien to a gallery in Mündich. They encounter a world marked by crime, poverty, corruption and greed, in which there is little room for love. This turbulent, strange globalization fairy tale consistently asks the question of which forces work together in us and in the world that surrounds us and that we have created.
